I have a B.Sc. in Bioanalytical Science and am a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst and a member of the UK-SBA.
I have recently returned home to the UK after living in the USA for 26 years. While in the US, I spent 20 years working in the public school system in New Jersey with children aged 3 to 14 years old, but I have spent the majority of my career working with preschool/nursery and elementary school children (3-7 year olds) with autism and behavioural disorders.
In addition to the school setting, I have also worked as a home therapist where I gained valuable insight into the benefits of family involvement in education and therapy. I love to share my knowledge with parents, families, teachers, and other stakeholders and am committed to building and maintaining positive relationships in order to meet the needs of the children I teach. I believe in a multi-disciplinary approach to ensuring the success of a child and am always willing to collaborate with other professionals. I continually look to learn new skills and stay up to date with the current advances in the field of behaviour analysis.
I firmly believe in a naturalistic approach to teaching and modify my sessions to meet the needs and learning styles of each individual child.
